‘Transforming’ Program for Nonprofits through The Home Depot Foundation
“The Framing Hope program is a perfect fit for Nehemiah House,” says Snyder.
“We received a wet dry vacuum, cabinets, mini-blinds and faucets at the first pickup through the Framing Hope program,” says Snyder. “This program and all of the donations we receive will be a huge boost for our organization—they will not only be used in our men’s shelter, but in the many community projects we are involved in.”
“This program works at the community level and can help thousands and possibly tens of thousands of people in need. It allows local nonprofits to cut costs and serve more. If you think about the potential savings and benefits of this program—it can be transforming for many organizations.” Snyder says they are planning a landscaping project later this year in which he hopes Home Depot store associates will participate.
“This is a great partnership for us,” he said. “Home Depot has hired some of our graduates, which is wonderful. I think the involvement of store associates in our activities would be great as well.”
