One of every six Americans lives in poverty. Cara is one of them.
Along with the other 52 million people in the United States, Cara struggles to support her family. Although she has a job, Cara cannot always provide the essentials for her two young children while her husband serves overseas. Because their resources are limited, Cara is often forced to choose between feeding her children and putting warm clothes on their backs.
But, thanks to generous gifts from companies and individuals to Good360, Cara received goods at no cost through her local community center. These are items that she and her family desperately need—things like winter clothing to keep her children warm, and shampoo and soap to keep them healthy and clean.
Since January, Good360 has distributed more than $200 million in goods—including 1.8 million diapers, 2.4 million personal care products, 800,000 toys, 8,000 beds and thousands of computers— to more than 22,000 qualified charities around the globe, who have helped millions of people, like Cara, in need. We couldn’t have done this without you—thank you.
This year, as you make your holiday list, we ask that you consider the 52 million Americans living in poverty and the nonprofits that support them. As the economic recession persists, even more charities struggle to meet the ever growing needs of the people they serve, and are turning to Good360 to acquire needed items that they cannot afford to purchase. In fact, the number of nonprofits registered with Good360 to receive donations has increased by almost 300% just this year alone.
We need your financial support now, more than ever. We would like you to consider a year-end grant or a cash gift in financial support to bolster our operations and enable us to continue to serve our charities’ ever-growing need for products.
We hope you will respond generously to this urgent request. With your support, we can literally move tons of items from companies to people, like Cara and her children, who live in poverty today.
