Association News: Good360, A Resource to Engage Membership

  Donor News Archive

As Good360 continues to grow, our partnerships with national and international associations have become increasingly diverse.

Many associations find that offering Good360 as a resource for donating inventory is an engagement strategy for their membership. Other associations, who want to stand out as an industry leader, have the opportunity to create cause campaigns with Good360 to rally behind a certain cause (i.e., “Home Sweet Home” by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers and “Start Clean” by the Soap and Detergent Association). Finally, many associations find that during times of disaster, Good360 can connect association members to provide aide to impacted communities, therefore increasing the philanthropy and goodwill of the association and its membership. Below are several examples of associations with which we are currently working:

Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA)
Good360 has partnered with RILA on a number of initiatives. We were recently featured in the RILA newsletter, highlighting our retail donation partnership program, Framing Hope, with The Home Depot Foundation. Additionally, we recently presented a joint webinar with RILA entitled, “Converting Waste to Donations: Sustainability through Partnership.” This gave RILA members the opportunity to learn about the benefits of product giving from multiple perspectives—corporate social responsibility, sustainability and waste diversion, financial and tax benefits, and employee engagement. Finally, Good360 will exhibit at the Retail Sustainability Conference this October 12-14 in Orlando, Florida. If your company is a retailer or product manufacturer, and you’d like to learn more about this event, please visit here.

The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA)
Since 1995, exhibitors in the ISSA annual convention (now ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America) have donated samples and remaining display products to those in need within the show's convention host city. Since 1998, the supplies have been gathered by Good360 for distribution to local nonprofit agencies. ISSA exhibitors consistently donate more than $70,000 in product. The Good360 donation program will again be conducted at the upcoming ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America tradeshow in Las Vegas, October 18-21. Exhibitors are invited to participate in this worthy program that supports these communities in a very positive way. Visit the ISSA Foundation website to learn more about Good360 donation programs.

The International Housewares Association (IHA)
To assist victims of tornadoes and floods that have recently devastated Missouri, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia, IHA has partnered with Good360 to spread the word through its membership. Local emergency relief organizations have determined that these communities need a wide array of housewares items. Good360 has assessed what items are needed and has welcomed product donations from IHA membership that match the needs of these communities. In addition to providing support for those in distress, donations of needed housewares products may be eligible for an enhanced tax benefit.
